Once again on my shit (trying to read epubs on my Kindle Fire). This time I decided to download a different app that can read epubs, then I just need to download or copy the files in. Easy!

Managed to log in to kobo account in the browser, then tried to download the epubs. Nope, it failed and they went nowhere (after an abortive attempt to open them with Overdrive). Then I downloaded the epub on my computer, plugged Fire into my computer, exposed the filesystem, then tried to copy file into one of several folders. Failed with alert noise but no visible alert.

Like, is FireOS just locking down the filesystem now? It doesn't show me files in any of the folders, either.

For many Kindles out there OneNote is not syncing properly. It's probably the one app I use more than the Kindle reader itself. They got me hooked back in the Windows Phone days when the specs of that phone were incredible for the price.
