Killer Instinct is a fighting game series, similar to Street Fighter II. The original game was created by Rare in conjunction with Nintendo and released into arcades. It was supposedly developed for the "Ultra 64" hardware, which eventually turned out to be the Nintendo 64.
I guess due to delays and stuff, the first home console release was for the SNES which was much weaker hardware compared to the arcade release.
All that said, the SNES release came with a soundtrack CD. Cheesy, but also epic and catchy. I love this soundtrack.

The fact that Killer Instinct is even playable on Game Boy is nothing short of astounding. Is it a great way to play the game? No. Is it insanely impressive? Yes.
