Forse sei troppo giovane per ricordare Kickboxer, il film d'arti marziali del 1989 in cui Jean-Claude Van Damme impara la Muay Thai in un montaggio di allenamento, abbatte un albero di banane e balla in un modo che suggerisce come il suo addestramento di danza classica sia stato del tutto inutile. Anche come qualcuno che ha sprecato una buona parte della sua vita a guardare film di arti marziali, ho appena scoperto che Kickboxer ha dato il via a una serie che ha portato a quattro sequel, un reboot e un sequel di detto reboot. E poi: un videogioco.
