EU Commission keeps oil and gas lobbyists away from COP30, but France and Italy roll out red carpet - Fossil Free Politics

According to new research by Fossil Free Politics in collaboration with the Kick Big Polluters Out coalition, nine EU governments brought 84 fossil fuel lobbyists into COP30 on their official government delegations. This contributed to the overall figure of 1,600 fossil fuel lobbyists at COP30, one in every 25 participants.

Working with the #KickBigPollutersOut coalition, Fossil Free Politics has done some more digging at the EU level, and it's not pleasant reading - especially if you're 🇫🇷 French or 🇮🇹 Italian. Their governments have rolled out the red carpet once more for some of the planet's biggest climate criminals.
