Just fell through my front door after a lovely day in #Bangor visiting STORIEL where we're going to hold one of our three upcoming community workshops for the #Bywgraffiadur . As luck would have it, they are currently showing an exhibition abt the long connections between #Wales and the #Khasi mountains in #India, where the missionary U Leasing was from. Serendipity!

Major languages of Indian subcont show multiple politeness distinctions in person pronouns except #Punjabi, #Khasi (Austroasiatic) & #Kashmiri which show binary politeness distinction in their pronouns. Garo (TB) in #NEIndia and Brahui in #Pakistan show no politeness distinction.
