In fact, they've been completely brainwashed from childhood on, and few even dare to think of escaping. Those who do, struggle with understanding the truth.

“Being an alchemist, I lick first, ask questions later, so there isn't much food in this world I have not tried. My little ones have been urging me to apply my alchemical skills to confectionery. They've already supplied me with a list of names for products that don't exist yet. I'd be eager to try those at some point. I just have to figure out what “Burp Berries” are.”

In terms of behaviour, it's Oneiroi. He has a profound dedication to being his most flamboyant, eccentric, authentic self.
“The man wears flair as if it's war paint.”

But, regarding sartorial and accessory choices, it's Pelliniana. She wants to be a funny flower with pockets so the bees will like her.

Not so much a lie, as omission. All the things she has never been told. All the schemes put in place around her. She has a suspicion it isn't all coincidence, but she doesn't like the implications of it. So, she firmly sticks her fingers in her ears and goes lalalalala in ever-increasing volume as the existential dread creeps up her spine.

Freya turns and leans against the workbench, the bubbling alchemical apparatus behind her nearly makes it seem as if her brain is audible. "It's not such a dichotomy in our house. The concept of family doesn't end at our blood relation, and many of our friends have keys and spend time here. So, the answer is both. In, but with friends and family."

I have a large, wild, allotment garden besides my front and back garden. What I grow now, is for fun, for the sake of that connection to nature, and largely experimental. I also know how to preserve food so it'll keep during the winter. Presently, I hand everything out as gift. Loads of jam, pie, soup, tea, pasta sauce and herbs. Even some scented skin oils this year.
