I posted my 'Amsterdam North Light Festival' photos over here a couple of days ago, but also in this group of the neighbourhood. That's when I learned in the comments that I somehow missed the pièce de résistance of the neighbourhood, so I couldn't resist to take a look for myself. And wow... 😂

Shame those parked cars were in the way last Saturday, I even went back yesterday hoping those cars wouldn't be there, but sadly they were… and I was told by a lady that seemed to live in the neighbourhood, the chances were very small those cars wouldn't be there anytime soon.

So this capture from last Saturday evening it has become, where a car that drove by at least covers the parked cars somewhat with its lights.

My partner and I had some vacation days left to use before the end of the year. So we made the most of the situation by having gone to Zwolle for a day trip last week.

Things were lovely during the day already, but we discovered that the city really came to live in the evening, when all the Christmas lights and decorations around the Grote Kerk (Big Church) were turned on.
