Japanese pop idol Kenshin Kamimura has been found guilty of indecent assault on a female interpreter. The verdict came Wednesday in a Hong Kong courtroom filled with his fans. The judge has issued a fine of 15,000 Hong Kong dollars and no prison term. Kamimura was a member of the boy group ONE Nβ ONLY until his contract was terminated in March. He pleaded not guilty in April, accused of touching the interpreterβs thigh during a dinner. Fans formed long lines inside the court building fefore the hearing. Judge Peter Yu said Kamimura touched the intrepreter in a caressing nature that implicitly carried a sexual undertone and indecent intent.
