Charles Wilson's Classical style tenement on the corner of Sauchiehall Street and Kelvingrove Street in the west of Glasgow. Originally known as Wellesley Place, it was built in 1853. At this time, it marked the western end of Sauchiehall Steet, and it was the first building on the section which now runs from here to the junction with Argyle Street outside Kelvingrove Art Gallery.

The terminal townhouse of Claremont Terrace in the Kelvingrove area of Glasgow. Built in 1847, it was designed in a Classical style by John Baird.

In the 1860s, this house was home to John McDonald of Stewart and McDonald, a name which can still be seen inscribed on the facade of their grand and imposing former warehouse on Argyle Street between Buchanan Street and Mitchell Street (now part of Frasers).

I love this little owl which stands guard on the handrails of one of the staircases in Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow. It always reminds me of Bubo from the 1981 film the Clash of the Titans.

Relief sculptures on the former Queen's Rooms on La Belle Place in the West End of Glasgow. Created by John Mossman in 1857, in the middle is the lyre of Apollo topped by a swan, which is singing to it. Above this is the figure of Minerva, the Roman god of wisdom, sitting on a throne. Minerva is said to have been modelled on the wife of David Bell, the merchant who commissioned the building and its neighbouring tenement.

The roof lantern on James Sellars' 1879 Greek Revival style former church on Derby Street in the Kelvingrove area of Glasgow. Its design was inspired by the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates, which was erected in Athens in 335 BCE.
