To be clear, I'm not opposed to factoring in the plus side of conspicu—ity? If management & coworkers want to interpret my masking as commentary on their judgement & decision making that would be...not wrong? I'm just realizing that I just need to be clear about that in my own mind.

I just isolated my hesitancy about using one of these for my upcoming mandatory in-office all-staff meeting. Where I would feel only a little conspicuous wearing one of my standard N95s, I realize I would feel VERY conspicuous wearing a PAPR. So I'm going to have to think about that. (I'm not necessarily concerned about being VERY conspicuous, but I do think I need to consciously include that in my mental calculations.) >

We had friends visit from the States and along with tortillas and salsa they brought us (well, me) Covid. I can’t be sure if it was from the plane/airport or if they picked it up on arrival, but we pretty much abandoned all our usual protocols to accommodate them while they were here. On some level I feel like this validates that what we were doing before was working well, and we should just keep sticking to those principles even when it’s socially very difficult to do so. #covid #keepmasking

@wendynather I’m so sorry you are going through this. Please keep us updated on your progress. The thought that getting Covid could make my neuropathy from chemo worse is especially terrifying. I just bought a box of 440 3M Aura N95 masks (28¢ each!) #KeepMasking
