The more I think about it, the more I feel that moment where Kari Lake whipped out the hoover to vacuum off a square of carpet sitting in the dirt in advance of Trump's speech, was the moment she lost her bid for Governor. The public (it was purposefully public) bit of performative cult-worship was just embarrassing. The right can pretend this stuff doesn't exist when it suits them, but not when it's played out in view of the media like that.
