🎬 German premiere: “1923 Kanto Massacre” 🎥

On December 1st, we will be showing the German premiere of the film “1923 Kanto Massacre” as part of the closing event of our project A²BC - African and Asian Berlin Communities.

The film sheds light on the massacre of Koreans by the Japanese Empire after the Kantō earthquake of 1923. This harrowing story of colonial violence has long been kept secret and remains unresolved to this day - with deep wounds for the survivors and their descendants.

On this day in 1923, the Great Kanto Earthquake and the subsequent Kanto Massacre occurred.
Now that discrimination, including xenophobia, continues and is especially intensifying, I think we must remember this day and reflect it in our actions so that we do not repeat such foolish acts.
 

1923年の今日は関東大震災とそれに乗じた関東大虐殺があった日です。
排外主義を含む差別が続き、特に強まってもいる今、愚行を繰り返さないように思い出して行動に反映させていかなきゃいけないと思います。
