Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus)

I was a little worried about this guy. I'm not sure if they were young or injured, but they were initially on the ground, and then climbed up to the fork the tree, and waited there even as I got closer. I couldn't see any obvious signs of injury, so I went on my way after taking a couple of photos.

These days, I carry a cheap compact camera with a pancaking kit lens in my bag (the E-M10MarkIV with a M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ) so that I've always got a camera with me, and I'm not too precious about it getting banged up being loose in my bag. This moment was possible because I had the camera with me! Exactly the sort of thing I was hoping to achieve with it!
