Sharon ist 21, als sie am 24. April 2024 aus Kamerun im Libanon landet. Sie hat ein Ziel: arbeiten, Geld verdienen, ihre Familie unterstützen. Eine Vermittlungsagentur hatte alles arrangiert. Doch in einem Video sagt sie später nur diesen Satz, der alles zusammenzieht: "Ich arbeitete in einer toxischen Familie." The #KafalaSystem for #DomesticSlavery was introduced to the #UnitedKingdom in 2012 [1].

"Interviewees described ... criminal abuses including #ForcedLabour; verbal, physical, and psychological abuse; and confinement ... employers locking them in the house and giving them only leftover food."
