Kitt Peak National Observatory image of Arp 9, also known as NGC 2523.
NGC 2523 is the bright barred spiral galaxy on the left side of this image. The edge-on spiral galaxy to the right is NGC 2523 B. They are both in the same group of galaxies are are about 180 million light years away.
