Trevor Gibney of KOM Cycling groks the value of the Bicycling Monterey projects, including our project providing court-referred youth an alternative to paying hefty fines for traffic citations (https://bikemonterey.org/youth-bike-and-sometimes-receive-citations.html). On April 11, Trevor generously contributed a KOM Cycling Quick Release Light, 350 lumens, and Computer Mount (which also mounts light) in support of that project.

Youth bikeβ€”and sometimes receive citations | Bicycling Monterey | Resources for Anywhere & Monterey County Biking Information Hub

When a widely renowned Monterey County business, Light & Motion, ceased operations this year after 35 years, we became eager to know of other reliable lights for cycling.

That’s why we checked out the new KOM Cycling Quick Release 1000 lumen light. We do a lot of night riding, including on dark rural roads, and we appreciate this degree of brightness! It's also available as a 350 lumen light. Each has 6 operating modesβ€”3 steady and 3 flashing, including an SOS light.

Concerned about bike light theft while parked? The light is very easy to detach and take with you.

Those of you using Garmin & Wahoo devices will appreciate that these lights come with the needed hardware to ensure compatibility with Garmin and Wahoo mounts and computers.
