perhaps this was one of the first, maybe even the first overview article on modeling the consequences of #climatechange for the #EuropeanMediterraneanregion. And that was in 2001, when hardly anyone was talking about climate change except a few wild-eyed scientists. But published in a small regional journal, #Geoöko, which has also ceased to exist in 2025, hardly anyone read it! #MediterraneanTypeEcosystems #ecosystemmodelling

Biographischer Artikel über den akademischen Werdegang des i Schramberg im Schwarzwald aufgewachsenden deutsch-französische Geographen Christophe Neff. In diesem 2017 publizierten Artikel verweist C. Neff auch auf die Waldbrandrisiken die durch den Klimawandel den Schwarzwald drohen. Der Klimawandel wird auch im Schwarzwald zu mehr Waldbränden führen!

Der Vortrag erinnert an die gemeinsam mit Prof Manfred Meurer im frankophonen Afrika in den Jahren 2005 – 2009 durchgeführten Forschungen! Der Focus des Vortrages liegt vor allem auf Forschungsprojekte zum Klimawandel in Tunesien, insbesondere der Mitarbeit an Studie „Stratégie nationale d’adaptation de l’agriculture tunisienne et des écosystèmes aux changements climatiques“.
