Da Kdocker unter Linux mit X11 nicht funktioniert habe ich mal gesucht, ob es eine gangbare Alternative gibt um Programme in KDE ins Systray verschieben zu können.

Ein wenig suchen brachte auch ein Ergebnis:

Das funktioniert sogar erstaunlich gut.

@katzenmann In KDE Plasma 6.6.x there is an option to show/hide the notification timeout indicator.
System Settings / Apps & Windows / Notifications / Popups / Show timeout indicator

Since matrix won't let me ask in the KDE Matrix chat I'm going to ask here:

Can we please, please get a feature to turn off the blue progress bar showing how long a notifcation will still be there? It makes notifications so much more distracting than they should be.

Je cherche un logiciel / une façon de travailler pour répondre au besoin suivant : chaque jour je passe d'un projet à l'autre à chaque réunion, je prends des notes, je crée des fichiers, et je les stocke dans les répertoires de chaque projet. Mais ce qui me manque, c'est une espèce de timeline : sur quoi ai je bossé aujourd'hui, cette semaine, chaque jour ? Et quelles sont mes notes associées ?

Vielleicht kann jemand bei der Installation eines #Brother MFC-7440N Drucker unter #Tuxedo OS #Linux #KDE6 helfen?

Vor einem Jahr war die Installation nur: Drucker suchen, bestätigen: drucken.

Jetzt habe ich alles Mögliche ausprobiert: übers Netz (ipp, http, lpd, jetdirect/socket) und über USB. In KDE nativ und mit dem Brother Linux Install tool.
Ausprobiert habe ich den original PPD Treiberm, brlaser6, postscript/foomatic

Der Drucker macht entweder gar nichts, oder schmeißt nur leere Blätter mit einem vertikalen Strich auf der gesamten rechten Seite raus.

Der Testdruck sieht super aus. Also liegt nicht am Toner ... sondern lediglich am Treiber

Das Internet hat nur die üblichen Tipps. Hat jemand ne Ahnung, was das Problem sein könnte?

@jloc0 I was at some point going to install your #kde6 but I realised it was gone when I did an update/upgrade and Falkon was using Qt5.
So I took the plunge and installed #ktown It's working fine and falkon behaves now. Running as the wayland session. I'm not a huge fan of big DEs but I'll keep it around until/if it ever makes -current.

BTW, @r1w1s1 I ran the check depends script and about the same as amount as last time is slightly broken. All apps still functional though.

Do you have recommendations for exporting #KDE settings to a different computer / fresh installation? Preferably with selecting what settings to import?

I know I can copy the relevant folders in my /home directory

Had the experience that one can run into trouble in case there are different app versions or if the program hasn‘t been installed yet on the new system. Later instal can somewhat break things
