So I read that one of the defendant's lawyer (for Tadarrius Bean) has stated in the opening day of proceedings that his client was just "doing his job" at the killing of Tyre Nichols.

And sadly he is unfortunately right.

But that is exactly the whole problem of it, and of state-sanctioned police in a hierarchical system. There is nothing to 'reform' - it's what they're designed to do.
