It really really really needs to be both!

Unfortunately, most people have no clean options, whether they can afford them or not.

Especially in North America where Oil & Gas have used all the worst moves from the tobacco industry to guarantee they have a strangle hold on the majority of the entire economy.

So what are we going to do?

As of 08/31, Danish energy multi Ørsted, formerly Dansk Olie og Naturgas A/S, has shut down its last coal-fired plant. Ørsted’s entire energy generation will be essentially fossil-free. ‘We believe that we, as a society, must phase out the use of gas, oil, and coal as soon as possible.’

Great article that lays bare the the cynical reality in the US, Canada, Australia, Norway and the UK.

So 7 major LNG export terminals built in the US and 24 more planned - locking in terminal climate change.

But what will it be used for, as renewable sources are cheaper, and the gap widening?

I wonder if Big Oil might be backing the Hydrogen hype? Perhaps they'd like to see LNG exported (with a lot escaping in transit) then the rest used to make Hydrogen? Those Hydrogen plants need double the LNG energy input to produce the Hydrogen. That'll make everything greener/greyer!
