Favorable conditions have returned, so I got in my longest ride of this young year. 33 miles from South Minneapolis to my home in Anoka County, mostly along the banks of the Mighty Mississippi. Temperatures in the mid forties when I left; 51°F in the back yard when I arrived home. Delivered a car to my daughter this a.m., so this was a one-way bike trip.

I got the old alloy bike out for a gravel ride. Stopped to talk to a retired farmer for about half an hour and learnt lots about the local area that I never knew. He had lived there all his life.

Got out early this morning before it warmed up too much. Forecast for today is 37°C and it had already passed the 30°C by the time I got home at 8:45am.
Sunday morning ride from Murray Bridge to Tailem Bend on the west side of the Murray, crossing the ferry and then return on the eastern side.
The Shell roadhouse at Tailem Bend would not take my cash for a sausage roll, card only.. lucky I had a banana in my pocket ..
