Judith Jamison, an internationally acclaimed dancer who later served as artistic director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater for two decades, has died. She was 81.

She, without a doubt, was one of the greatest dancers and choreographers of the past 100 years.

[personal note, I grew up studying #dance; 1st in my park district community center, then with the #Chicago City #Ballet - #CCB, then my beloved #HubbardStreet, & last stop -- Alvin Ailey. This loss is near unbearable]
