Switching my #starcitizen joystick setup from #Sx2VJoy to #JoystickGremlin.

This allows me to combine the 3D Connexion SpacePilot and the throttle quadrant into a single #vJoy #joystick.

a) All inversion. dead-zone,.. settings in Joystick Gremlin instead of Star Citizen
b) Custom Macros to make the toggle switches that only react to ON into 2 100ms momentary switches for the on and the off position.

Does anybody have any experience with like getting something like Joystick Gremlin or vjoy to be even somewhat useful on a Linux install through wine? Would that even be possible?

I'm not super versed in how joysticks work in Linux nor in wine and my current Linux install doesn't allow me to run wine properly at the moment so I can't try stuff out right now. But in the future I would love to be able to run Star Citizen or Flight of Nova on Linux with the customization that Joystick Gremlin allows, and unfortunately there does not appear to be any other application that offers the same level of convenience or features that Joystick Gremlin does that is Linux native.

Honestly I suspect that I'm just going to just have to keep dual booting Windows for this or use a Windows VM, which pains me because Star Citizen supposedly works well under wine in Linux and Flight of Nova has a native Linux build.

Any thoughts?

#SundayFunday over the weekend we moved some stuff around. Found out an oak desk gifted to us during the pandemic won't fit through any interior doors. So we're improvising. @chadarius is trying to configure #JoystickGremlin on our newest #SuperComputer so we can have a #SrarCitizen #Valentines date. I'm watching with a crazy drink I concocted. Who needs super bowls when you live with #nerds !?
