Trying to learn #JoniMitchell's Coyote on guitar just broke my brain. It's not necessarily hard, but the tuning is characteristically #Joni, aka hella non-standard, and honestly kinda dissonant, although it doesn't read as dissonance in context? Though tbh, some of that dissonance has to do with my middle finger struggling not to apply too much pressure on the [normally G but tuned to F here]-string in the opening chord (0-0-2-[2]-2-0), making what should be a G particularly sharp.

And as far as attempting to sing and play? Yeah, no; I'll leave that for the shower, lol. I can't really do that with even simple songs, let alone here.

Have I mentioned that this is possibly my favourite Joni song of all time? I'm especially fond of the live version with The Band, from The Last Waltz.

Anyway, think I'll go back to standard tuning now, because I really don't understand what's going on here (the tuning is CGDFCE, if you're curious)
