Sounds from Rikers Island is an album by jazz pianist Elmo Hope recorded in 1963 for the Audio Fidelity label.

The Allmusic review by Thom Jurek stated "As a musical document, it is an overwhelming success. Hope surrounds himself with musicians whose reputations are now legendary... the level of musical empathy and improvisational reciprocity is inspiring. Art Forms of Dimensions Tomorrow is an album by the American jazz musician Sun Ra and his Solar Arkestra. Often considered the first of Ra's 'outside' recordings, the album was the first to make extensive use of a discovery by the Arkestra's drummer and engineer Tommy Hunter:

'Art Forms of Dimensions Tomorrow.... contained "Cluster of Galaxies" and "Solar Drums", two rhythm section exercises with the sound treated with such strange reverberations that they threatened to obliterate the instruments' identity and turn the music into low-budget musique concrète. While testing the tape recorder when the musicians were tuning up one day, Hunter had discovered that if he recorded with the earphones on, he could run a cable from the output jack back into the input on the recorder and produce massive reverberation:

'S Make It (slang for 'Let's go') is a recording by the hard bop Art Blakey jazz ensemble. It was recorded in Los Angeles in 1964 and issued on the Limelight label.

Jeffery S. Blowing In from Chicago is a studio album by the American jazz saxophonists Clifford Jordan and John Gilmore. It was released through Blue Note Records in July 1957. The recording was made on March 3, 1957 and the quintet assembled for the session features rhythm section Horace Silver, Curly Russell and Art Blakey.

The Penguin Jazz Guide suggests that the album may be “the neglected masterpiece of Blue Note hard bop”, noting that Gilmore plays in a style distinct from the freer approach he used with Sun Ra, and that Jordan solos powerfully but with “real thought and logic”. - Wikipedia
