The Bard Of Salford!!!!
Seeing that I didn’t grow up in the UK, I had never heard of JCC until about ten years ago.
On top of that, I didn’t know he even had a record.
How did I discover him?
By watching 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Would I Lie To You? on YouTube.
I’m like, this guy looks cool, and his poetry is rad.
It was only after crate digging one day at my local shop that I found this.
This album is killer.
This is the only one I have, but I’m hunting for a few of the others.

I used to listen to this and admire the poetry and the music and be grateful that we were moving towards better things, away from such poverty and despair.
Now it just makes me cry.

Foragin' all the time,
You ain't never pricked a predator,
You ain't no porcupine"
