Once again, we see the weaponisation of progressive words & DAVRO from transphobes.
A self described trans exclusionary campaigner and open supporter of JK Rowling's views on trans people ... is on a list for the Polari Prize, a UK LGBTQ+ book award. Other candidates have withdrawn.

The transphobe is complaining that _he_ is being bullied.... 🙄

The Transphobes are being awful to the Queer authors who have pulled out of the Polari Prize because of that bigot and his victimhood complex.
How many Trans kids will die while you're feeling sorry for yourself for being called out, like your mate Joanne...
Remember, with the 'phobes their feelings are worth more than the whole Queer community combined, and the Press gives them equal weight.

I hate online pile-ons. I also hate to hear anyone speak of feeling like they wonder if it’s worth going on, not least because I’ve wondered the same thing myself. I am sorry John Boyne has felt like that.

But this article in the Guardian is ridiculous - and typical of the double standard that newspaper operates when it comes to trans issues.

When it reports trans people describing how devastating the EHRC ‘guidance’ is for trans lives it always makes sure to include - prominently - a gender-critical voice.

Not when it’s the other way round though.

Not one trans person. Not one trans ally. Not even one of the writers or judges who has pulled out of the Polari Prize.

Instead we get quotes from J K Rowling and Julie Bindel deploring the criticism (bullying) that Boyne is receiving.

Horrified by online bullying - truly, coming from either of them, that is an accusation beyond irony.
