A ★★★★★ review of Day of the Dead (1985)

40 years later and Day Of The Dead still packs a punch, both viscerally with the zombie gore, done by the wizard himself Tom Savini, as well as with its critique of the worst of humanity. Nobody ever did it better than the Godfather of zombies himself, George A. Romero. While all three films in the original Dead trilogy are absolute masterpieces, depending on who you ask and ones mood, it could be easily determined which is the best.
