In an "extraordinary move," Mississippi AG #LynnFitch just asked a judge to overturn an officer's manslaughter conviction. DA #JodyOwens had prosecuted Anthony Fox, a cop who killed a Black man during a traffic stop, and he was then convicted and sentenced by a jury. Fitch wants to overrule the jury. Sadly, the #antichoice Fitch is Mississippi's first woman AG, as well as their first Republican AG in 140 yrs. Hopefully the last.
