Looking for a new job, the only company that answered so far has an "AI" flagship product... 😖
"Bureaucracy Aesthetic"
The employment agency gave me a pen and paper to 'take notes.' This is the result.
Probably the most productive 20 minutes I’ve spent there so far! :D
I have my DA draft cover letters and generate a cv for each role and org. It's quite simple to align your approach with the org and role that way. Don't automate submissions and generated letters and resumes and send them to people. one startup had 130k applicants for 35 roles and most of them were slop trash that they don't even read. They're using candidate scoring systems that use AI to punish badly used AI and they have to, because that's insane.
a #psa for #fedihired and #jobhunting:
Over 14mo of a somewhat luxurious and highly aspirational search for an org and leadership I could work with and be supported by with a role that i would be great for. The only interviews I got beyond usually positive vibechecks with talent acq and recruiters were by having an insider that was rec'ing me for the role.
I got great traction in six roles, had 2-7 interviews at each of them.
It's rough out there, #infosec. Get your peers looking for you.
