About that "sleeping giant" biz Bob Reich has been batting around: Everybody thinks that's a Yamamoto quote, waking a sleeping giant and filling him with a terrible resolve...

The quote is made-up, for the movie "Tora! Tora! Tora!" (1970).

That doesn't change the fact that the American people - most of'em, anyway - finally woke up and smelt the bullshit and reached out and wagged the Mouse so hard it gave Jimmy back his job... that's a Hard Thing, but they made it look easy. With any luck, they'll figure out *what* they've done, how big a thing it is, and _keep going_... if you can wag the Mouse you can wag Amazon, or Alphabet, or Meta... and then what? World domination, in a good way?

Also, maybe they could be convinced to pay attention to the Black journalists who got fired in the midst of this whole fracas...

Naah, who am I kidding.
