@HopelessDemigod @Dianora The pathetically problematic #LRT is nothing but a money pit, requiring constant repair, constant investment of funds to improve an exceedingly poorly constructed train. Of course, Ottawa has to charge more. Meanwhile, those who brought us this ill-conceived, unsuitable piece of garbage, took away vital bus routes and increased travel time significantly and frustratingly and walked away with absolutely no consequences. @globalbc In Ottawa, the #JimWatsonLegacy destroyed a previously reliable, rapid and direct public transport system and replaced it with a pathetically unreliable, less direct and more time-consuming system of light rail train and bus service. Rather than alleviate travel time / costs for citizens, he’s made it so inefficient that car usage has increased. #BreachOfPublicTrust and #OutrightIncompetence.

Oh, yes: “Step into the future of Ottawa's transit system with us.” With unreliable schedules, buses that don’t show up, route cuts, fare increases, LRT breakdowns, unreliable trains that can't handle winter, panels coming loose & breaking b/c snow build up on vehicles, ice causing doors to freeze shut, brakes & bogies that hold the wheels, freeze up…….This is the #JimWatsonLegacy and SNC Lavalin-led Rideau Transit Group.

Increase prices, decrease frequency of routes, eliminate routes, eliminate others on the weekend, build an LRT that looks like third world construction & breaks down consistently, post schedules that are not respected, don’t repair bus shelters, complain that ridership is decreasing, increase travel time (one bus would take me from Ottawa east to downtown, now I must take 2 buses & an LRT.)

@canadianpm Sutcliffe wants a vibrant capital city & downtown revitalization. Maybe having reliable public transport would help. Currently #OCTranspo sucks. So better make room for lots of cars. With decreased frequency of routes, elimination of many routes, a third world #LRT (the Parliament stop smells like a sewer.
