The #Muslim Council of #Britain (MCB) has taken aim at the #UK government for promoting “inaccurate and counterproductive” narratives linking pro-Palestine marches to antisemitic violence.

In a statement on Sunday, the MCB condemned the stabbing of two #Jewish men in a London neighbourhood with a large Jewish population, saying it stands “in #solidarity with the Jewish community facing an abhorrent rise in #antisemitism”.

The group added that “attempts to frame British Muslims, or all who advocate for Palestinian rights, as collectively responsible for rising antisemitism are inaccurate and counterproductive”.

I’m all for embracing converts to the anti-Trump cause. But if you listen to the dialogue between Tucker and his brother, it’s clear that rather than honestly reckoning with their role in America’s derangement, they’re developing a new conspiracy theory to explain it away.

#Trump, they strongly imply, has been compromised — maybe even blackmailed and physically threatened — by #Zionist or #globalist forces seeking the deliberate destruction of the United States. On Tucker’s podcast, Buckley described a systematic undermining of America through the George Floyd protests, mass migration and now the war with #Iran.

“It can’t be a confluence of random events,” Buckley said. “It is clearly by design. It’s clearly been a long-term plan.”

Swedish climate activist #GretaThunberg is the world’s second most dangerous antisemite, several spots ahead of #WhiteNationalist #NickFuentes, according to a new report from the #Israeli government.

As evidence of Thunberg’s antisemitism, the Israeli government pointed to her use of “terms such as ‘genocide,’ ‘siege’ and ‘mass starvation’ in reference to Israeli actions in Gaza.”

Many of these views are well within the American mainstream. A Quinnipac poll from August found that half of American voters believe that Israel is committing a genocide.

Nearly two-thirds, or 63%, of poll respondents agreed that concerns about #Iran’s nuclear program were best solved through diplomacy and sanctions; only 37% agreed they were best addressed with military action. Meanwhile, 58% of respondents agreed that US #military action against Iran weakens the US, rather than strengthening it.

As members of J Street’s leadership point out, the findings indicate that most #Jewish Americans want peace.

Notably, the poll also showed broad support among American #Jews for conditioning aid to #Israel, with 44% saying that weapons sales must comply with #US law and 26% saying the US should cut off aid entirely.

It’s been obvious for some time that Americans are souring on Israel, but a Gallup poll that came out on Friday marks a turning point. For the first time in the poll’s 25-year history, it found, more Americans sympathize with the Palestinians than with the Israelis. The shift wasn’t just among Democrats, whose opinion of #Israel has been in free fall in recent years. According to Gallup, only 30 percent of independents now sympathize with Israel; 41 percent sympathize with the #Palestinians. Among adults under 35, support for Israel has fallen to a record low of 23 percent. With numbers like this, bipartisan backing for Israel, long a constant in American politics, will in time become unsustainable.
