Discussing our next game of #JetlagTheGame in Germany.

"I plan to research a hiding station in every state, and then at least one of them should be in range. But that means researching 18 hiding zones"
"There's 16 German states"
"16 Bundesland, + hungover, + state of confusion"

Plans for our next weekend playing #JetlagTheGame are starting to form. So far I've booked a hotel for the night before the game starts, and I know I get to hide last this time. Beyond that, not much more I can easily plan.

@qlp @philip it is amazing how through the whole thing it felt like Sam&Mike had the advantage over underdogs Ben&Adam, when it was always the opposite!

RNJesus was offering the game to Sam&Mike on a silver platter, but they threw out their coins fortifying the low speed before a multiplier, wasted several train frequencies in the stalemate, ignored all the high value challenges in their region, and went bust to go all-or-nothing on a variable! At least we've proven the show's not scripted? πŸ˜“

I hope next season Amy knows Sam well enough by now to say 'no' to his 4D chess master plans ....

Look I'm not going to say it was a bad season. It was a really GOOD season. I really liked most of it.

On the Layover Sam was like 'I'm curious what people will think about what's wrong with our strategy' and I think I have an answer: Sam and Mike spent the whole game playing like they were in the lead, or even winning. The puppyguarding challenges, the nonchalance of not keeping a workable coin balance - at FIVE WHOLE COINS and 20+ stations down, Sam and Mike were playing like they had any bargaining chips AT ALL at the steal on the final day.

The truth is there was never a stalemate at all, because a stalemate assumes there is no path to victory for either team, but there was a path to victory! If the show had ended then and there, or if Sam and Mike kept waiting, Ben and Adam would have won! So it feels really frustrating to watch the aggressive posturing about psyching them out when it ultimately meant nothing because Sam and Mike were the first to blink, and they knew that they were the team with the most at risk.

oof. Thinking too much about how to limit the others' options without considering that you need options yourself I guess...?

Can someone witha #nebula subscription confirm whether or not episode 7 of Taiwan Rail Rush is supposed to be the finale of this season of #jetlagthegame?
Train museums should buy a full set of #JetLagTheGame to keep as artefacts in their collection for future generations. And at least one of them should be in talks with Wendover Productions about preserving the original cards and artefacts used in the train-bound shows.
