The #JerusalemRiots broke out on #ThisDayInHistory in 1947. The #Palestinian panic over the UN's Partition Plan inspired strikes and protests, but also arson attacks on #Zionist-owned shops & neighbourhoods. This inspired #Haganah to join #Irgun in taking more aggressive actions.
