Chi ha visto la serie Manifest sa bene quanto un volo possa trasformarsi improvvisamente in un incubo. Infatti, non c’è niente di più destabilizzante per chi viaggia in aereo di un’improvvisa scarica di turbolenze, e domenica 29 marzo i passeggeri del volo EasyJet EZY439 lo hanno sperimentato sulla loro pelle.
Partito da Glasgow con destinazione Jersey (la più grande delle Isole del Canale, situata nel Canale della Manica) l’aereo è stato travolto da forti turbolenze subito dopo il decollo, costringendo il pilota a dichiarare uno stato di emergenza e invertire la rotta dopo appena trenta minuti di volo.
Un membro dell’equipaggio ha riportato lievi ferite e ha richiesto immediata assistenza medica una volta atterrati. Tutti i passeggeri, invece, sono rimasti illesi, ma la tensione a bordo è stata palpabile. Sul posto, i sanitari hanno prestato le cure necessarie, riportando la situazione sotto controllo in tempi rapidi.
“Il volo EZY439 da Glasgow a Jersey del 29 marzo è tornato a Glasgow perché un membro dell’equipaggio di cabina ha avuto bisogno di assistenza medica”, ha confermato un portavoce di EasyJet al Daily Mail, rassicurando sull’esito positivo dell’atterraggio.
Non si tratta però di un caso isolato: negli ultimi giorni, episodi di emergenze in volo si sono moltiplicati. All’Aeroporto Internazionale di San Paolo-Guarulhos, un Airbus A330-300 di Delta Air Lines diretto ad Atlanta è stato costretto a rientrare immediatamente a causa di un problema al motore sinistro, riportando a terra in sicurezza 272 passeggeri e 14 membri dell’equipaggio.

Anyone who has seen the series Manifest knows how a flight can suddenly turn into a nightmare. Indeed, there’s nothing more destabilizing for a traveler than a sudden jolt of turbulence, and on Sunday, March 29th, the passengers on EasyJet flight EZY439 experienced it firsthand.

Departing from Glasgow with a destination of Jersey (the largest of the Channel Islands, located in the English Channel), the plane was caught in severe turbulence shortly after takeoff, forcing the pilot to declare an emergency and reverse course after only thirty minutes of flight.

A crew member sustained minor injuries and requested immediate medical assistance upon landing. All passengers, however, remained unharmed, but the tension on board was palpable. On the scene, medics provided the necessary care, quickly bringing the situation under control.

“Flight EZY439 from Glasgow to Jersey on March 29th returned to Glasgow because a cabin crew member needed medical assistance,” an EasyJet spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Mail, reassuring about the positive outcome of the landing.

However, this is not an isolated case: in recent days, incidents of in-flight emergencies have multiplied. At the São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport, a Delta Air Lines Airbus A330-300 bound for Atlanta was forced to return immediately due to a problem with the left engine, safely landing 272 passengers and 14 crew members.
