Until his death in July of 2021, Jerry Granelli was the last surviving member of the original group led by Vince Guaraldi that played the the soundtrack for the iconic television broadcast A Charlie Brown Christmas back in 1965. In this 2014 recording we see the Jerry Granelli trio perform Vince Guaraldi's "Linus and Lucy". Artist of the week on Jazztodon.com: Jerry Granelli! He was the last surviving member of the Vince Guaraldi trio, and he was behind those swinging drums on all of the Charlie Brown specials and the immortal Christmas show soundtrack. He also recorded with Jane Ira Bloom and released many records with his own groups. "A Song I Thought I Heard Buddy Bolden Sing" and "Forces of Flight" are great places to start to explore his discography.
