If you are looking for a serial killer, alien, sci-fi, that also involves new friends and a father-son, this is the book for you. I really enjoyed the way that this book was written. Reading a new horror book set in "small town Alaska" and knowing exactly which small town the author is riffing off of makes it really weird to read. Like "yep, you're talking about Whittier and you're talking about Begich Towers and you're talking about the AKRR tunnel and I know which hiking trail you're referring to..."

But hey, technothriller horror, so let's go!
