LordWoolamalooA chum reminded me that today would have been the birthday of the late Jeremy Brett. Brett, for my money, is still *the* finest screen incarnation of Sherlock Holmes.
Yes, I love the Rathbone films, but the Granada productions with Brett are just on another level and far truer to the spirit of the original stories.
Here in Edinburgh, local lad Conan Doyle has the greatest honour a Scotsman can have - a pub named after him!
