Qu’est-ce que j’ai aimé cette trilogie signée Jay Kristoff ! Ce cycle de Dark Fantasy revisite avec brio le mythe du vampire. Et si ce tome 3 n’est pas mon préféré de la saga, il m’a cependant apporté un plaisir intense de lecture. Car Jay Kristoff a indéniablement le sens du rythme, faisant de ce dernier volume une conclusion pleine d’actions, de batailles, de sang, de surprises, et d’émotions.

I loved this so much! 🖤

This is a start to a dark fantasy trilogy is full of interesting characters and plot twists I did not see coming. My reading journey can be summerized with words: "no!" "O shit!" "whaaat?" "O yes..." "wow" "wait a minute..."

Need I say more?

The fmc is tough, smart and resourceful, but she is not overly so. Her badassness feels real, did not come without cost and still develops during the story.

Writing style is at times very august, but mostly conversational. The darkness in the story is raw, but not overwhelming. I think grimdark needs enough light to make the dark parts really punch you in the gut, and this book has a great balance of both.

I did not expect spicy scenes in this book (don't no why 'cause The Empire of the Vampire had some too 🤷‍♀️), but I was happily surprised when the 🌶 come along. Scenes were excellent, both well written and relevant to the plot.

When I hoped One Dark Window could have been darker and a little more adult, this trilogy seems to be the answer to my prayers!

Hands down, this is one of the best fantasy books I've ever read 🖤 I may be a bit biased, 'cause the story has all the things I personally love, but let's not focus on that.

#currentlyreading - "Königreich der Verdammten" von Jay Kristoff. Der Titel ist etwas ausgebleicht, das #Buch habe ich #secondhand gekauft. Ich bin jetzt mit dem ersten Viertel durch und habe gerade eine längere Lesepause, weil mein sonstiges Leben mich sehr in Atem hält. Ich freu mich aber, es bald weiterzulesen. #Vampire gehen ja immer, und es geht in allem sehr zur Sache 🤗.

Den ein oder anderen Kritikpunkt habe ich schon, aber ich muss das erstmal zuende lesen, bevor ich mich inhaltlich äußere.
