Edwin GroothuisIf you had watched the live broadcast of the Live In Bratislava concert of Jean Michael Jarre featuring also Brian May, you would have heard that at the end Brian May congratulated everything including "Jean-Paul Jarre". Whoopies.
And no matter how impressive that concert was, its light show is magnitudes better than Houston, Docklands, La Defense, Chronology tour etc, that was so cringe that I never rewatched it again.
Today Spotify showed me that the Live in Bratislava concert recordings were there. Yes, I was brave enough to listen to it and again, it was a brilliant show.
Until the last moment I feared with great fears, will it be cringe again? Last 15 seconds, Brian May is thanking everybody again, including.... "Jean-Michael Jarre"!
I might listen to it again in future :-)

Jean-Michel Jarre - Live in Sevilla - ARTE Concert
Kristoffer LawsonOMG, Last Rumba (Magnetic Fields V) is waaay better than the original!! A couple misses though too (like the original Last Junks at Sunset was played with a real Chinese orchestra, so the philharmonic version doesn't really add anything — if anything it pales in comparison).
It's interesting to listen to this orchestration by the Prague philharmonic of #JeanMichelJarre. Many spot on picks, though I'd definitely go for Oxygene 2 and 3 rather than part 4. It also shows how much of a composer #Jarre has been through his life and what is really missing from #electronicMusic today.
Wish I had a chance to experience an orchestration like this live.
