> The Plain of Jars on the Xieng Khouang Plateau is a major cultural heritage site, now recognized by UNESCO. According to UNESCO, #UnexplodedMilitaryOrdinance (UXO) still contaminates 25 percent of the area of Xieng Khouang province, producing a “constant threat” to the personal safety of its 200,000 people. Needless to say, the presence of #UXO crimps economic development of the province.
