Stephan Jersch

I've just set up #authentik and configured #Grafana to use it. I also protected my #jaeger instance with it via proxy auth.

It's quite cool!

A new experiment has landed in the #OpenTelemetry playground. We're looking at instrumenting a simple Ruby web app with Redis to show multiple spans. I also learnt that you don't quote OTLP endpoint URLs in environment variables unless you want sadness. This is also my first time using #Jaeger and #Zipkin. It's so nice to have tools like this running locally instead of trying to stand up the whole observability backend (Datadog et al). https://github.com/booyaa/opentelemetry-playground/blob/main/experiments/10-tracing/README.md #xpboosh
