I really wanted to like Dave Moffatt and Jada Facer's new cover version of #ForeverYoung; but Moffatt has been so egregiously pitched corrected that it sounds really bad and not like a human voice. Such excess was surely unnecessary for a studio recording, where slips could have been fixed in another take.

The 21st century perspective on this Whasis band from the 1900s is harsh.

I looked to see whether anything had been covered by IMY2, Jada Facer, Kurt Hugo Schneider, Anne Reburn, or any of the usual people; I even dared to check the bloody #Romania n Cover Song Factory.

Nothing.

If the measure is who remembers the music, and who chooses to take it and perform it themselves years later, these Whasis chaps don't measure up to … well … Coldplay.
