STATEMENT REGARDING JACKSFILMS VS SSSNIPERWOLF
#Jacksfilms is an OG #YouTuber, loyal to the site and creating original content for 17 years despite all its transgressions. #SSSniperwolf rose to fame through (ALLEGEDLY) outsourcing video production labour, inciting aggressive hate campaigns and lawsuits against her (often comparatively disadvantaged) critics/competition, and now churning out low quality "reactions" on the daily with little-to-no credit, let alone permission, given to the original creators.
It's off the backs of genuinely passionate creators like John that #YT has become the massively successful corporate giant it is. Its latest PR stunt, falsely equating satirical criticism and doxxing as "both sides" being equally wrong, once again demonstrates that the You in #YouTube has lost its meaning. I'm not surprised: this is the same site whose parent company is about to get sued for its AI (ALLEGEDLY) stealing and plagiarising the data of countless users across the internet. And that's without mentioning the numerous lawsuits against #Google for breaches of privacy (including its recent use of adblocker-blockers), spreading of misinformation and rampant workplace discrimination, let alone allegations of the platform pushing and rewarding centric-conservative content while age restricting, demonetising and shadowbanning more progressive content.
I haven't forgotten its punishment of The Act Man when he got doxxed, while continuing the platform his doxxer as well as the likes of Logan Paul and PewDiePie who are deeply problematic but who it profits off of. I haven't forgotten YT platforming the BLATANT child abuse of 8 Passengers for YEARS, only stopping when legal action against Ruby Franke forced its hand. Same thing with Alex Jones, YT platformed his vitriolic bigotry and conspiracy theorists which have caused BILLIONS in damages and only terminated his channel as a last resort. I haven't forgotten YT's CONTINUED endorsement of similar "commentators" who advocate for the VIOLENT abolition of various human rights.
Just like Lia, Google got big off the backs of its users and competition alike who were thrown under the bus at every given opportunity. Of course they don't care about her stealing content and violating the privacy of a critic, they (ALLEGEDLY) do it all the time themselves. In fact, it's THEIR lack of regard for user safety which (PROBABLY) enabled Lia to find John's address in the first place and yes, needlessly drawing attention to information that is technically public but without consent is still doxxing. Also, let's not forget she steals content mostly from #TikTok, YouTube's biggest competition. It profits from content thieves, curators and freebooters like SSSniperwolf who divert attention away from other sites, moral and legal integrity be damned. (ALLEGED) criminals defending (ALLEGED) criminals as always. As a small YouTuber myself, I believe we deserve better than this corporate corruption ๐
