Dug through some more art file backups, looking at stuff I had done in #Krita before 2020... found a bunch of unfinished WIPs I had completely forgotten about!
I wouldn't finish any of these now (and obviously I didn't want to back then either lol), but I badly want to retry that road construction witch concept.
(The first image is actually from a timelapse video I made with some screen capture software, as it seems I never actually hit "save" in Krita after doing that work 😭)
So this is the first image in my IbisPaint gallery, from March of 2021. Before that I was using Adobe Sketchbook (which sucked but hey it's what I learned to fingerpaint with).
Curiously this one is named "Untitled2". I have no idea what "Untitled1" might have been. Maybe a bad first effort that I deleted in shame? I'm honestly surprised I managed to produce this while still so new to the app, though I did find IbisPaint was easy to get the hang of.

I worked on this almost daily for 12 days, and IbisPaint says I spent 218 hours on it? Nah, there's no way it's more than 50 
(mainly due to some variants that are still to come...)

It's #WIPWednesday in most of the world yay
It's been many months since I've felt this motivated to draw. And I'm loving how my recent drawings have turned out; my online gallery has a tag called "Johann's Faves"¹ that I apply to pieces I'm especially proud of, and I've stuck it onto everything I've drawn in the past 3 weeks. This latest one will probably get it as well 👀
Drew some more at a meetup last night. I was certainly influenced by the absurdly cold weather outside.
Drawing the autumn fae again. The original (upthread) was just a one-off with mostly-random-but-intentionally-cool design elements... but when redrawing her, I was forced to consider how those elements come about and how they behave... which leads to full-blown personality and character background.
And then I kept going and developed the other 3 seasonal fae 
But this is all I've got drawn so far, gotta wait to see what more I can muster
