Hey Jewish Fediverse, can you answer this question on about #Jewish law on shaming people in public versus in private? Looking for sources, not just personal opinions - anyone know any relevant commentaries? The passages in talmud talk about (not) shaming people in public, but the asker rightly points out that our tradition compares this to murder and is private murder really any better?
