Raises two issues which can only be resolved by universal health care. But I don't think our representatives have enough of a clue about worker life to grok this essential change/need
(1. I'm deeply invested in my current plan, with being thisclose to hitting my deductible. I can;t change insurance midyear, bc, deductibles aren't transferable. 2. Health insurance--a job perk, right, says Congress---will be useless to me [but part of my compensation package, even though it will cost me a ton to be out of network], as I will be living 1000 miles away from the state university offering me their state insurance.
Being self-employed, or being a remote worker, both demand #singlepayernow #universalhealthcare #socializedmedicine #itstheeconomy
