Wired: I have managed to grow 40 #Strawberry starts. I think there's still some more in the plot. Alas, I don't know the variety as I've forgotten.

Must be fβing spring again. If I ever find whoever put this in their garden on my road there will be words of a strong and maybe not mind nature, delivered in a #pnw way.
If youβre a #gardener in the PNW, (Iβm outside of #PDX in the coast range foothills) please know this plant (#ItalianArum) and be willing to nuke it on sight. Dig up and trash all soil itβs in, because thatβs the only sure fire way to remove the rhizomes from the soil. Iβve been battling this patch for about five years.
Itβs common in areas with moist soil, leaf mulch and dead trees. So everywhere in the PNW.
Itβs classified as an invasive species and in some areas, you have to report it.
@soniashah @NatGeo The more I hear about feral pigs or hogs, the more I like it as a solution to many #NYC problems. There are no crops in #NYC to eat outside of gated gardens. They will be a problem for motorists. Will they be a problem for bicyclists? Their presence will encourage all bikers to go slow. They will eat non-native invasives such as #japaneseKnotWeed, #ItalianArum and #LesserCelandine as they root around.
