Yair Netanyahu, son of wanted war criminal Netanyahu, has lost his appeal against a ruling in favor of former Knesset member Stav Shaffir in a defamation case.

The court upheld the previous decision that Shaffir's statements calling Netanyahu "lazy," "racist," and "harasser" were truthful and factual. Netanyahu was ordered to pay an additional 7,500 NIS in legal expenses, adding to the 70,000 NIS he was already obligated to pay.

This legal battle originated from Netanyahu's lawsuit against Shaffir and her countersuit, following his offensive online remarks towards her and her descriptions of him. Despite appealing the initial verdict, Netanyahu withdrew his appeal after a judge's recommendation. He still has a separate, ongoing lawsuit against Shaffir.

[…] In response to Yair Netanyahu's appeal, Stav Shaffir argued for its dismissal, stating that the lower court was presented with evidence of Netanyahu's publications containing inaccuracies, racist posts that led to his Facebook account suspension, and disrespectful treatment of women, including misogyny and objectification. Shaffir further added that Netanyahu's behavior during court proceedings was notably disrespectful, citing instances where he called her a "bitch," arrived late, sat disrespectfully, repeatedly interrupted with insults, and was removed from the courtroom twice.
